Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Bohdan Beschetnikov ("we", "us", "developer") handles information when you use the mobile application Trelix Translator (the "App") on iOS. By installing or using the App you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

2. Data processed on your device

The App is designed to run locally whenever possible. The following are processed on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks and never sent to our servers:

Text you enter for translation — handled by Apple Translation framework.
Microphone audio for voice translation — handled by Apple Speech Recognition.
Camera images and photos for text recognition — handled by Apple Vision (OCR).
Translation history — stored locally on the device. You can delete it at any time from inside the App.
Offline language packs — downloaded from Apple and stored on the device.

For voice recognition, Apple may transmit short audio fragments to its own servers if on-device recognition is not available for the chosen language. That processing is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours.

3. Data we collect through Firebase

The App integrates Google Firebase services for analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration. Through Firebase we may automatically receive:

Device model, OS version, language, country, time zone
App version, install/uninstall events, session length, screens opened, feature usage events (e.g. "translation completed", "paywall shown")
Crash logs and diagnostic stack traces
An anonymous Firebase Installation ID (random identifier, not your Apple ID)
Approximate IP-based country (Firebase does not retain full IP after geolocation in the standard configuration)

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, exact location, or the content of your translations through Firebase. Firebase data is processed by Google LLC and its affiliates under the Firebase Privacy and Security terms.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Paid features are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Purchase records (transaction ID, product ID, expiration date) are managed by Apple StoreKit and validated on-device. We do not receive your credit card data, billing address, or Apple ID. Subscription status is read from the device receipt only.

5. Permissions the App may ask for

Microphone — to recognize your speech for voice translation.
Speech recognition — to convert recognized audio to text.
Camera — to scan text from a live camera feed.
Photo library — to scan text from a saved image you choose.
Notifications — to remind you before a subscription renews or expires.

You can revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings → Trelix Translator. The App will continue to work, but the related feature will be disabled.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention

On-device data (history, downloaded language packs, settings) is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Firebase analytics events are retained for up to 14 months by default, then deleted by Google.
Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.

8. International transfers

Firebase processes data in data centers operated by Google, including in the United States. By using the App you consent to such transfer. Standard contractual clauses are applied by Google where required by GDPR.

9. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you reside in the EU, UK, or California you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Because we do not store account data on our side, most rights are exercised by:

Deleting the App, which removes all local data.
Resetting your Firebase advertising/installation ID in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or using "Reset Advertising Identifier".
Emailing snaitbo@gmail.com with your request — we respond within 30 days.

10. Security

All network requests use HTTPS. Local data is stored in the App sandbox and protected by iOS Data Protection. We have no servers of our own that store your translations.

11. Third-party services

Apple Inc. — translation, speech, OCR, App Store, StoreKit, push notifications
Google LLC — Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be announced inside the App.
