# Terms of Use — VPN Snake Lite

_Last updated: 2026-05-24_

By installing, opening, or using VPN Snake Lite ("the App"), you agree to the
terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

## 1. What the App does

The App is a client that establishes an OpenVPN tunnel using a configuration
**you** supply. The App does not provide a VPN service of its own; it only
provides the technical means to connect to a server that you choose.

## 2. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

- **The OpenVPN configurations you use.** You confirm that you have the right
to use them and that the remote server operator allows your connection.
- **Compliance with the law of your jurisdiction.** VPN usage is regulated
differently in different countries; you are responsible for knowing and
following the rules that apply to you.
- **The traffic you send through the tunnel.** The App does not inspect, log,
proxy, or otherwise see this traffic, and is not liable for what you do with
  the tunnel you establish.
- **The security of your device.** The App relies on the iOS Keychain for
secret storage; you are responsible for keeping your device passcode and
  biometric credentials private.

## 3. No warranty

The App is provided **"as is"**, without warranty of any kind, express or
implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness
for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant
that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every possible
attack, or compatible with every OpenVPN server configuration.

## 4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the
developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or
punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred
directly or indirectly, arising out of or in connection with your use of the
App — including but not limited to data loss, network outages, blocked
access, or actions taken by remote VPN server operators or third parties.

## 5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

- Violate the law of any jurisdiction that applies to you.
- Attack, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any network or
  system.
- Infringe on the rights of others.

## 6. Open source

The App's source code is published in this repository. Use, modification, and
redistribution of the source code are governed by the license file in the
repository, separate from these Terms of Use, which govern use of the
compiled App.

## 7. Changes to these terms

If material changes are made, the updated version will be published in this
repository with a new `Last updated` date. Continued use of the App after
publication constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

## 8. Governing law

These terms are interpreted under the laws of your country of residence,
without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection
rules of your jurisdiction continue to apply.

## 9. Contact
