In short: Dual Translate has no accounts and no server of its own that stores your data. Your conversation history stays on your device. Text you translate is sent to translation providers only to be translated.
When you press a microphone button, audio is captured and converted to text using Apple's speech recognition on your device. Depending on your device, language, and iOS settings, Apple may process some audio on its servers. This is handled by iOS under Apple's privacy policy. Dual Translate does not record, store, or transmit audio files.
To translate text, the app uses the first available of these:
Only the text needed for the translation is sent, together with the source and target language codes. No identifier that links the text to you or your device is attached. Do not enter passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information into any translation app, including this one.
Translated turns are saved on your device so you can revisit them. They are not uploaded anywhere. You can delete them at any time from the History screen, and deleting the app removes them entirely.
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand which features are used — for example, that a translation happened or that the paywall was opened. These events do not contain the text you translate or what you say. Firebase also assigns an app instance identifier. See the Firebase privacy documentation. We use Firebase Remote Config to adjust app configuration without an update.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app receives from Apple only whether an active subscription exists and when it expires.
Dual Translate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Because we do not hold personal data about you on our servers, there is no account to access or delete. Data held on your device is under your control: clear history in the app, or delete the app. For questions about this policy, write to mirik24348@gmail.com.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
